Chebogz

Operated by Patrixia Paraiso and her family, Chebogz has a simple mission: to bring the bold, authentic flavors of the Philippines to the heart of Seattle while honoring the culture and community that shaped them. Beginning as a food truck in Federal Way, Chebogz has expanded into a full-service restaurant in Beacon Hill as of July 2023 thanks to the support of the local community and the loan provided by Rainier Valley Community Development Fund.

The Paraiso family’s journey started long before the food truck hit the road. After immigrating from Quezon City, Philippines in 2004, the family gained experience working in Seattle restaurants. In 2010, they used personal savings to purchase Kusina Filipina, a beloved eatery in Beacon Hill. After seven successful years, they were forced to close due to redevelopment Undeterred, they launched Chebogz and Manila’s Pride, a commissary that later grew into a takeout restaurant. Their food truck quickly built a loyal following, even winning “Best Food Truck” at Taste of Tacoma and Bite of Seattle.

“Chebogz” is more than a name. It’s a blend of Tagalog slang meaning “to eat” and a nod to their parents’ nicknames, capturing the fusion of heritage and heart that defines their business.
